Using cocaine can lead to more than just an arrest record and a fine. It has physical effects that are pretty damaging. The short-term effects of cocaine use cause you to feel high immediately. This is followed by an intense depression, an edginess that leaves you wanting that high again, so you use the drug again. As your tolerance for this drug increases you have to take larger and larger quantities to get the same high. The prolonged use of this drug can cause massive sleep problems and a loss of appetite. Some of the worst symptoms of cocaine are that you can become psychotic and you can hallucinate.
